Hello and welcome!

I’m Shannon Wheeler, a yoga teacher and functional movement coach based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I began teaching yoga in 2012 and have always woven elements of functional movement into my sequencing to help students build strength, resilience, and body awareness.

In 2025, I earned my 100-hour Steel Mace Vinyasa certification with Summer Huntington and began the Head Coach track to help expand this modality in the Midwest. I now offer Certification Prep Workshops and SMV Level 1 Trainings for yoga teachers, trainers, and coaches in the movement space.

You can work with me through public classes at Anthroproach, private group sessions, or 1:1 training. I’m passionate about helping people reach their goals, especially within the energy and support of community.

Public Small-Group Classes at Anthroproach

Public small-group classes are capped at 10 students to keep the experience focused and intentional. Each class begins with joint priming and gentle mobility work to prepare the body. The main portion centers on conditioning, using 4–5 steel mace movements in a structured, timed protocol. We close with a weighted flow, a thoughtful cooldown, and a final resting pose.

1:1 Functional Movement Coaching

I love coaching 1:1 because it allows us to create a program tailored specifically to you — helping you build strength, increase mobility, and move with greater ease and less pain.

We begin with a functional movement screen and goal-setting session. From there, I design a personalized program to support your progress. Private coaching also includes weekly programming to complement your in-person session (with a virtual option available).
